Roulette Bets
There are quite a few categories of bets in roulette, depending on the
combinations of numbers that you wager on, or whether you bet on an
individual number, or in fact whether you place a bet on a type of
outcome (such as red or black).
In this section, we will run through the various categories of roulette bet and discuss their merits and disadvantages.
At the very least, you should be able to walk the talk if you play
roulette down in Monte Carlo or over in Las Vegas! Practice first
online, and then you´ll look the part the next time you are
stacking your casino chips in the casino.
Outside Roulette Bets
These bets are made on the areas on the outside of the table and
represent a group, such as red/black, odd/even or a column. They have
lower payouts then inside bets since the probabilty of a successful bet
is higher.

Roulette Inside Bets
If you are betting on individual numbers, or groups of numbers, you are
said to be making an Inside Roulette Bet. You can use a single chip to
bet on multiple numbers simultaneously. the payouts are reflected in
the size of the groupings.
Individual number - Straight up bet
2 numbers - Split bet
3 numbers - 3 line bet- (Street Bet)
4 numbers - corner bet
4 number bet - 1st Four (European roulette only)
5 number bet - 1st Five (American roulette only)
6 numbers - 6 line bet- (Double Street).
Call Roulette Bets
These are more unusual bets that are generally available on European or
tables with a single zero wheel. You have to hunt around to be able to
play these online (generally look for casinos that offer French
roulette- you will notice that many of the terms are in French).
